Vladimir Bukovksy, the 63-year old former Soviet dissident, fears that the European
Union is on its way to becoming another Soviet Union. As a young man he exposed the
use of psychiatric imprisonment against political prisoners in the former USSR and
spent a total of twelve years, from his 22nd to his 34th year, in Soviet jails, labour
camps and psychiatric institutions.
What is the EU really built upon? Is it a new idea, or does it have a predecessor?
VladimirBukovsky has warned about some parallels between the formation of the Soviet
Union and the European Union. If you care about democracy,
So, what is the problem with the European Union? The answer is this:
It is rapidly developing into a replica of it’s predecessor, the USSR.
The EU has consistently refused to acknowledge God in it’s policies and Treaties.
This is closely in line with the USSR who ridiculed the thought of a Divine Being.
The ultimate purpose of the Soviet Union was to create a new historic entity, the
Soviet people, all around the globe. The same is true in the EU today. They are trying
to create a new people. They call this people “Europeans”.
According to Communist doctrine as well as to many forms of Socialist thinking, the
state, the national state, is supposed to wither away. In Russia, however, the opposite
happened. Instead of withering away the Soviet state became a very powerful state,
but the nationalities were obliterated. Germany and Ireland?
Like the USSR, the EU is governed by a group of people who appoint one another, are
unaccountable to the public, enjoy generous salaries, massive perks and huge pensions,
are pretty much above the law and cannot be sacked.
Like the USSR, the EU was created with little or no respect for normal democratic
principles. Much of what has happened within the EU has happened secretly and without
the normal principles of democracy being considered or applied. What has happened
over the last few decades has happened largely in secret.
The USSR was a traditional supporter of liberal abortion rights. There has been extreme
pressure on Ireland to legalise abortion, with a recent EU court ordering Ireland
to scrap anti-abortion rules
If you think the European union doesn't matter, you’re wrong
Ireland’s involvement with the EU has been a rather rocky road. For very good reason.
Parading under the banners of democracy and peace, the EU is in reality a power-hungry,
ever-expanding socialistic union which refuses to acknowledge God, and aggressively
pushes a liberal agenda on member States.
Ireland joined the EEC in 1973.Since then, successive EU Treaties have been passed
which have slowly eroded away our national sovereignty and gradually assumed control
over our own national affairs. 73% of legislation in Ireland comes directly from
the European Union, in which Ireland only has a 2.09% voting weight.
